Okay, so although the shops are dusting off their festive decorations in readiness for when the very last dregs of the sales are over, I’ve been determined not to mention the word ‘Christmas’ until at least October. However, all good resolutions have been totally undone by this sneaky peek at the Thierry Mugler Make Up collection arriving on shelves in November. The Mercury Golden Touch Palette, £44, is gorgeously shimmery in different accents of gold; yellow, white and pink, with a pearly eye smoothing base to ensure it stays in place. I love the look of Ultra Black Flash On Lashes Mascara, £22, which follows (or leads, who knows) the upsurge in super-black mascaras, and also Black Vinyl Lash Gloss, £31. The latter promises to add a bit of a shine too – if it does, I’ll be delighted after the hideous disappointment of Maybelline Lash Stiletto. If there’s every been doubt that the design aesthetic of a product can sway a purchase, Pink & Coral Metallic Plexi Gloss Lip Lacquer, £24.50, is a great example of why things that look good are immediately desirable. I instantly want this, without even having layed hands on it.
