The new powder shadows, launching in May, come in three formulas; matte, satin and sheen. It’s a little hard to tell which are satin and which are matte because the finish isn’t on the label.. but the sheens are easy to spot.

These all seem fairly matte to me, maybe with the exception of the first, Call My Bluff. I love ice-cream shades like this.. perfect for spring and summer. These are in a long-wear formula but I always need the security of a primer underneath lighter colours – if you’re heading down the pastel route it really relies on the shades not fading at all.

These are quite clearly sheen! They are beautifully soft and very intense.

And when the light catches them… wow! They’ll also be £15.50 each but a little goes a very long way with these.
