[unpaid/sample] One of the main issues with tinted lip balms is the last – but Code 8 seem to have circumnavigated that problem with their am/pm tinted balms which on me, at least, seem to stay longer than most others. In fact, they’re ideal for anyone who doesn’t like an overly glossy look but still needs a balm-like colour. The pay back for the stay is that they’re not as sumptuously balmy as say, Lanolips or Gucci.

A stick format is definitely a plus – easy to shove in a pocket and so on. The shade selection taps into an understated nude theme for more natural looks that seem easier right now. They’re using Vitamins A, E and F with ceramides for anti-oxidant protection and better moisture retention.

The shades I have are Spin City and At The Barre. Spin City is a kind of earthy rose, while Barre is more terracotta toned. There’s a lightly frosted element to both but they are as described in terms of being ‘nude’ – just pretty and gentle shades.

At the moment they’re £20.40 each but usually they’re £24 HERE.
