When you focus as much on beauty as I do, spring happens in lip colours or cheek hues, not leafy shoots or daffodils! The Clinique Pop Lip Colour is totally a sign! Actually, there are so many good things about this new line for Clinique that I was smiling at them much as you’d smile at a newborn! Let me first say that the Clinique Pop Lip Colour has a built in primer – so, a lipstick and primer in one.
Clinique Pop Lip ColourBut, its not the built in primer that’s got me really focussed on these – it’s the coloured metal casing; I don’t think I’ve seen this used in beauty before and I think you’ll understand if I say it’s more of a kitchen finish than a lipstick one! I just don’t know the name for this kind of matte metal but I do know it’s very tactile and super-smooth.
As far as Clinique Pop Lip Colour shades go – take your pick! I have four here but there are sixteen shades split into colour groups of Violet, Pinks, Tawnies and Nudes. I wore Melon Pop all of yesterday and now I’m hooked even though it’s a slightly lighter peach than I’d naturally choose.
Clinique Pop Lip ColourThe first shade in the swatch above is Cherry Pop, followed by Fab Pop, Melon Pop and Beige Pop. I’d have to be fair and say that I’m not sure what the benefit of the primer is – it didn’t seem to give longer last although these are divinely comfortable and very moisturising on the lip. They’re also fragrance free – yay!
The Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer launches into stores from 17th April for £16.

Those top two colours are so gorgeous, exactly my kind of colour, but I’ve got to wait until 17th April!
Really pretty colours, love the Fab Pop and great that Clinique have formulated with primer. Thanks x
Love this packaging. Must be expensive to do but so much easier to find *that* colour in a hurry!
I think these lipsticks look nice but the packaging doesn’t look very high end in comparison with their matte lipsticks. It looks more like Rimmel packaging to me. Colours look nice though!
