To be truthful, I didn’t hold out a lot of hope for this innovation: I thought it just sounded too gimmicky. BUT! I love it! I have lash extensions so don’t need to use regular mascaras, but there is always the issue of the bottom lashes, which I tend to leave bare. The Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara comes with a teeny weeny little brush that is perfect for finding those fair and fine bottom lashes and giving them a good coating of black. It’s in a long-wear formula that doesn’t smudge of flake – in fact, it apparently lasts for 24 hours which I’d say is over and above what might be required, but hey, you never know when you might need round the clock flashy lashes. It will cost £10 and launches on February 1st. Although it is ideal for lash extension wearers, it’s also pretty good for those with pale or short bottom lashes and who find regular mascara brushes too large and unweildy to get the necessary precision. Brilliant – I’m really, really happy with this.

Ooh this is good news, I have lash extensions too and I always forget about my bottom lashes as they tend to look so different and clumpy to my (unnaturally perfect) top lashes!
This is really exciting – I have to leave my bottom lashes bare 99% of the time because I get mascara everywhere. This sounds like a godsend.
Oooh! It’s nice to see an innovative product! Might have to check this one out.
Thanks for the heads up on its release 😉 x
Nice one! I have to say I don’t think it’d make it into my travel makeup bag (really can’t imagine carting around 2 mascaras) but for my usual daily use it definitely sounds interesting!
This reminds me a bit of Maybellines One by One mascara that they used to do – that had a tiny brush too.
Have you seen the Guerlain double brush mascara, one brush for top lashes and the other, a little brush for bottom lashes. I’ve just finished my second tube.
