To be truthful, I didn’t hold out a lot of hope for this innovation: I thought it just sounded too gimmicky. BUT! I love it! I have lash extensions so don’t need to use regular mascaras, but there is always the issue of the bottom lashes, which I tend to leave bare. The Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara comes with a teeny weeny little brush that is perfect for finding those fair and fine bottom lashes and giving them a good coating of black. It’s in a long-wear formula that doesn’t smudge of flake – in fact, it apparently lasts for 24 hours which I’d say is over and above what might be required, but hey, you never know when you might need round the clock flashy lashes. It will cost £10 and launches on February 1st. Although it is ideal for lash extension wearers, it’s also pretty good for those with pale or short bottom lashes and who find regular mascara brushes too large and unweildy to get the necessary precision. Brilliant – I’m really, really happy with this.
