Anyone who has felt excluded from the new water-weight foundation textures because of their problem skin will rejoice at this! Although Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions BB is called a BB, it’s nothing like the BB textures that we’ve come to know. The nearest I can liken it to is the new Dior Air Serum Foundation – highly fluid and light as a feather on the complexion.

I’m honestly blown away by the texture of this, especially when you consider that it contains SPF40. I just don’t know how this was done! So, here are the claims on Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions BB: conceals blemishes, protects from sun, controls oil and shine, helps prevent blemish scars from darkening and it won’t clog your pores or cause further break outs.

I’m wearing it myself right now, even though my skin is neither oily nor blemish prone but as it happens, I do actually have a rather attractive spot on my chin. So, what I can say about the formula is that while yes, it does give some coverage, if you have something red and angry going on, it doesn’t cover as much as say, a concealer, would. It does balance out tone, but coverage is light – so in that way, it is akin to a BB. As you’d expect, Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions BB is an oil-free formula that gives a mattified effect (but not a flat matte so you lose any glow). If I had oily skin, this would be my ‘weekend’ make up – it’s fresh looking, natural and just makes your skin look better than if you weren’t wearing it. It isn’t a highly ‘make up’ product, although I’ve experimented with building coverage to get more of a foundation look, but my mind is blown at SPF40 in this water like consistency.
