I love Clean fragrances – so hard to get hold of in the UK but the perfect antidote for heady and heavy scent that winter inspires. Think along the lines of Bobbi Brown Bath, for example, just a touch of lightness, warmth and familiarity – clean is definitely the right word for them. The brand itself talks about being a ‘non-perfume’ perfume and by anyone’s standards, these are not overwhelming. They’re more intimate and fresh than most – with names like Air, Cool Cotton, Warm Cotton, White Woods and Skin – you can see the direction they’re going in.
If anything, the Cottons are that moment when you get into a freshly made bed, while Air and Skin are more pristine laundry, and White Woods is a fresh, sweet, outdoorsy moment. They do all have a sweet backdrop to them and the rollerball format is very much a US thing especially when it comes in a set like this one. I’ve followed this brand for years and always wondered why it isn’t more popular in the UK. I’ve managed to track the Clean Rollerball Layering Collection to Beauty Bay for £22 HERE. Their picture is incorrect, but the fragrances are correct.
