I discovered Cinq Mondes a couple of years ago – it’s never really managed to get much attention in the UK although it’s a brand that sits in the most exclusive spas all over the world. There’s pretty much nothing that I don’t like about the range, either. Everything seems to perform beyond expectation, and that’s rare.

I picked out the Precious Elixir Nourishing oil because of its argan content (it also contains cartham oil (safflower) and olibanum essential oil) to try and sure enough, it’s a beautiful, nourishing oil that glides over the complexion. The next morning, my skin was as promised, completely nourished and soft – no hint of dryness anywhere, and also no oily patches either which can sometimes happen; your cheeks end up all perky but there’s residue left around the nose.
So, here’s the kick. It’s £49 for 10ml which I think is very expensive; it puts it in another skincare bracket altogether, price wise, and that’s an issue – and why, probably, Cinq Mondes doesn’t get as much attention as it otherwise might. It’s for the luxury market, clearly, and it is indeed a luxurious product, but I’d like to see it more competitively priced so the range can be a real player.

The problem they will have is there are so many facials on the market now, in bigger bottles and for less money. I don’t mind paying double for my products, as long as they perform twice as hard as their cheaper counterparts x
Agree with Pampered Prince, but I think that is general with any skincare. This is just too much for what you get, there are better alternatives for more reasonable prices.
