Christmas In July Part II

So, after Superdrug, I headed off to World Duty Free where they had some amazing stuff! Worth leaving the country for.

YSL Travel Retail Exclusive (comes in pink and black) £37 from July (pink) and September (black)

Not sure of the price of this.. will revisit.

Gorgeous Estee Lauder eyes and lips palette

A beautiful Dior Brush Set

The sneakiest of looks at Lancome Golden Hat range with Kate Winslet.

A set of four mini-Daisies. Gorgeous… who wouldn’t want this one?
And finally, this super-glam shiny Lancome set – a Travel Retail Exclusive from September

From there, I headed across to the agency that looks after Mavala amongst other brands and fell totally in love with the Mavala Christmas Angels…and the strong metallic vibe for the season.

From there, I dropped in at Elemis who have the usual fabulous Christmas ranges, and a rather special spicy candle to celebrate 10 years of the Elemis Spa. The cakes you see in the picture were made by the company that Kate Middleton’s parents own, and they were delicious with a pretty picture of the spa on top – I couldn’t eat that bit.. felt all wrong!

Final stop of the day was Mandara Spa. Now, to be honest I have totally dismissed this brand because it is sold in Sainsburys. I just couldn’t get why anyone would pitch up to a Mandara Spa (massively expensive by the way) to have a treatment from a product that you could buy at your local supermarket. But, speaking to the formulator, the range at Mandara Spas is a higher concentrate of oils for a start, and the range for Sainsburys is more ‘inspired by’ rather than a direct copy of the original product. So, still, I really felt it is probably just a fancy bottle with no substance to the products. Til I smelled Tropical Blooms – omg.. it was love at first smell! I genuinely loved it – the perfect fragrance to make you think of far away places and holidays with a blend of jasmine and ylang ylang. I was particularly impressed with the Tropical Blooms Pampering Honey Bath, £12 and the Gentle Hand Wash, £7.50 which already exist within the range. There are gift sets for Christmas; some scented candles shaped like flowers, bath bombs (urgh) and pretty little duos of handcream and handwash (shown below).

Hi, I saw the Mavala Christmas Angel nail polishes in this months Glamour magazine & I would love to pop a couple on my Christmas tree. Any idea where I could get them from – I’ve been googling like a mad woman but the only place that seems to have even heard of them is your blog. I’d be extremely grateful if you could tell me where I could find them?
