Christmas In July

Beary Christmas!
Beary Christmas!

So, welcome to the whacky world of beauty for Christmas in July. Traditionally, brands show their Christmas fare in July mainly because long-lead magazines that work a long time ahead can include the products. Short-leads, such as newspapers or weekly mags, don’t really need this but without CiJ our monthly magazines would be more or less empty of Christmas.

John Lewis Nail Polish

So, this morning, stepping off the streets of Covent Garden in not exactly winter climes (although for summer it’s shockingly poor!) into a winter wonderland, I visited the John Lewis Christmas Press Day. And look! This is a surprise – John Lewis nail polish. And, you know what? It’s not bad at all. I don’t think it hits the shelves until at least August but I so wasn’t expecting this.

Oh Christmas Tree!

In amongst the Christmas decorations (yes, it really does feel strange) there were some beautiful bits and bobs that made me want to start Christmas shopping now!

Japonesque Make Up

I’ll have lots more information about the new Japonesque make-up range, which looks fabulous I might say, nearer its launch time, but for now a sneaky iPhone preview above.

Bobbi Exclusive

And also a sneaky iPhone preview of a Bobbi Brown exclusive for John Lewis.. again more details nearer the time.

Jonathan Ward’s Next Big Adventure!

And, yet another sneak peek.. Jonathan Ward’s next candle… it’s divine, as expected, and if you love a smoky, tea laden scent, you will love!

  2. I can’t believe Japonesque are going to do a full-blown make-up range, this is very exciting; and it looks amazing! As does the Bobbi Brown palette xx

  3. The Japonesque looks gorgeous and a tea scented candle? I AM SO THERE.
