Cheeky Cheeks from Daniel Sandler

Yes, I am completely spoilt; I’ll just have to put my hands up to it right now. When make-up artist, Daniel Sandler offered to make me a bespoke blush, was I supposed to say no?! Not possible. So I said yes, please, and here it is. He’s called it Jane’s Desire – it isn’t for sale obviously, but my goodness he got my blush requirements spot on in one bottle.

It’s a beautiful bubblegum pink that just gives cheeks a pop of pink. Daniel explained that the best way to use his Watercolours is to add a tiny bit of moisturiser to a blush brush, then a tiny dab of Watercolour (they’re highly pigmented so you don’t need much), and then to just sweep the brush gently over the apples of the cheeks. It works and it’s a much better way to apply than just using fingers.

So this is what it looks like on the palm of my hand (looking a bit crinkly I must say: palmists would have a field day). You can see it gives a stain effect so less is more from the get-go.

I’m a big fan already of Watercolours liquid blush (check www.danielsandler.com for stockists), so to have my own is an absolute treat.
