A couple of days ago I was at the newly revamped Charlotte Tilbury counter in Selfridges, Oxford Street, on the day that Beach Sticks officially went on sale. That is one busy counter – Team Tilbury literally never stopped with people wanting to buy products or have make-overs. It was distinctly busier than many of the other counters (secret high five!).
So, you can see in the pictures above, that I had a little drawer of ‘Kisses’ to give away (I might have popped a couple in my pocket for safe-keeping); the next picture is Nelson, one of the Team Tilbury artists, and he’s from Portugal so when he says ‘Beach Sticks’, it comes out as ‘Bitch Sticks’ which we decided we liked a lot better! My bloggy friend, Simon, from Theverysimong.com popped along for a Kiss for his mum but got his undereye circles concealed as well.
So, now you can see Beach Sticks up close, although I will say that sunshine amplifies these into glowy, radiant colour pops for lips and cheeks. They’re products that really need the sun on them because they’re full of micro-shimmer and sheen and perfect for cheekbones, apples and lips. From left to right: Ibiza (great for contouring as well), Es Vedra, Las Salinas, Moon Beach and Formentera. Moon Beach (Bitch!) is my absolute favourite – it’s a golden peachy shade and works well on any skin tone for cheeks as an illuminating stick – it’s a little on the pale side for my lips, personally, but it’s the most versatile I think for cheeks. If you’re dithering, Moon Beach is the safe-to-glow option. There’s enough movement in the formula that they blend on the complexion, but at the same time, they’re not so slick that they disappear from your lips quickly. Beach Sticks are £30 each which seems on the pricy side, but if you’re wearing as a blush and a lipstick, a lot more reasonable suddenly! They’re HERE.
I’m a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury Beach Sticks (well, the whole range really) – I’m sure you will have seen on other blogs the sneaky Christmas preview, but if not, here it is!
