Chantecaille Christmas 2017

Chantecaille Christmas 2017

Well, how pretty! This is the L’Arbre Illumine Palette for cheeks, and part of a very beautiful – and different – Christmas collection from Chantecaille. I don’t have a UK price for it yet but I think it’s a safe bet to say that it will be top end.

L’Arbre Illuminé Palette

The top row contains three highlighters and the bottom contains three blush shades – all very wearable and of course, beautiful quality. Although ‘pop up’ palettes aren’t new (remember Urban Decay’s Alice in Wonderland?), this particular one give the palette a Japanese vibe – maybe because the flower remind me of cherry blossom. The exterior is a peachy coloured satin, so it’s something that will need clean hands and looking after properly so maybe it’s only for those who really take care of their make up. I’m pretty sure it would not look so pristine after a day in my keep drawer!

If you completely ignored the pop up, this would still be a beautiful palette – I like the blush and highlight combination that you can mix and match or even just wear the highlight because they’re pigmented enough and give a very high beam glow that fuses with the complexion seamlessly.

I think the blush shades look quite different on the skin than in the pan – and of course they’re swatched at intensity. There’s just something very magical about the presentation of the L’Arbre Illumine Palette despite its impracticality – I can just imagine someone opening this and being delighted. It’s also quite similar to the Becca Apres Ski Palette that arrived at SpaceNK recently (HERE). I’ve got the other stand-out illuminating palette from this brand on its way and I’ll upload as soon as possible.
