This is such a beautiful colour – the deepest pink rose with glimmering elements. I’m not even all that fond of deep pink for nails but this one is different (might help that its got Chanel written all over it..!) and more complex. It’s set for a September launch along with its sister shade, Rose Moiré which I will swatch in due course.
I was curious to find out exactly what moiré is – after all the entire collection is named for the fabric. Wiki tells me that a moiré fabric is one that has a wavy, almost water-marked appearance and it’s usually silk. I’m not sure the Chanel Moiré Collection achieves an identical match but I can definitely see the inspiration in the subsequent finish.
