If you’re based in the UK, then you might never have even heard of Chanel Rouge Double Intensite; a double ended lip colour with long-wear. And when I say long-wear, it has the longest wear of any of this kind of product that I’ve ever used.
The shade I have here is Intense Beige; a rather rich brown colour that’s on the darker side of nude. On the first swatch, it’s shown without the glossy top coat and is very matte. The next stripe is with the glossy top coat and the last stripe is literally just the gloss. There’s no way I would wear Chanel Rouge Double Intensite without the gloss – it’s quite a harsh look unless your lips are super-smooth, but with the gloss, it’s a whole different story. There are 13 shades in the Chanel Rouge Double Intensite range.
We’ve all seen these long-stay double enders before but this one has blown me away – the gloss doesn’t stay so you’ll need to keep topping up on that, but the base colour is there for the long haul! So, why are we in the UK strangers to this product? For reasons unknown, they were never released in the UK, staying across the pond only for over a year. However, I’ve just discovered that the Covent Garden Chanel store has stock of them so if you’re in and around London, you might want to put it on your to-do list. You can find more details on the CG store HERE.
