The new Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss is something special for fans of high shine – eight gorgeous new shades inside a new clicky-up tube.

We’re used to clicky lipsticks, but I can’t recall a clicky gloss before and there’s something very satisfying about the smooth mechanics of a click up.

There isn’t a colour in the whole line-up that I wouldn’t be glad to have on my lips – they’re so wearable; I’m a Chanel fan anyway but this time, the collection is spot on. Although there is no mention of it, I’m sure I detect a little bit of menthol cool in the formula, but otherwise no flavour to speak of. There’s a good dose of pigment so they’re not sheer, but not overwhelming either, and a perfect softening shine.

Shades above are Exotique, Sensible, Affriolant, Distinction, Extase, Pirate, Seduction, Supreme. I will just say, though, that one of these just clicked up on it’s own while I had them lined up on the table (fine that I nearly jumped out of my skin!). Part of the Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss press release talks about the ‘surprise’ of the glosses – I totally was surprised!

The new Chanel Rouge Allure glosses launch on 1st October for £26 each – the shades above are European market – there are some differences in colours for different markets.

  2. These glosses are gorgoeous – so rich and pigmented. I think these would defo go the distance more than your average gloss.
