I’m not sure quite how I missed this – it launched in the US and Asia back in February and is a rose-gold illuminator. I’m not sure it was ever available here – but if you don’t know (as I didn’t) that mouche translates to fly knowing it helps the insect detail make more sense but in this context it means bee. The other detailing is based on Versaille.

And mouche de beaute is also the little fake beauty spots that aristocrats and hangers on used to wear in Versailles.

I thought the name Mouche de Beauté made for a clever pun with the little fly landing on the gorgeous highlighter given that the makeup look for the Versailles collection was so over-the-top with all the models sporting mouches 🙂

This was supposed to launch last year in certain stores but it never came. Early this year when I visited my nearest counter and i enquired about it again they told me it had been delayed. I’m hoping we do get it eventually.

I asked about this in Selfridges, but they didn’t know anything about it, so I got one sent to me from the US. It was very pricey, but oh so pretty! 🙂
