Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation

I had a sample of this before Christmas and it has become an instant favourite – with the exception of my Laura Mercier Candleglow sample, I have worn Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation virtually every single day since. I’ve been keeping an eye out for the actual launch because I would very highly recommend it, and it’s sort of had a soft launch on Selfridges but is already listing some colours low in stock. So, if you’re buying, do it now.

My original post with swatch details is HERE. I know that pre-testers of Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation have raved and raved about it – I’m an unashamed raver too in this instance! It’s £36 HERE. My original post – sorry, dashing out so cutting and pasting but I don’t want you to miss it! – says it all… “It’s a natural looking finish but with the extra weight of a foundation and despite having ‘glow’ in the title, it’s not a high sheen cover at all. The texture isn’t runny; more like a moisturiser texture than a traditional foundation texture.” It’s a joy of a foundation, I promise.

Oh Jane, you’re such a terrible enabler – and by terrible I mean terrible for my bank balance, great for my shopping pleasure….

    I assume by the name the shades don’t go darker:-/ ? x

In the UK they go to No70 which is pretty dark.

By the way I have been meaning to ask you if you would mind summarising your experience with lash extensions sometime please, if that’s possible. I know you had them for quite a while but stopped a few months ago and you’re enjoying playing with mascara again, so I think you’ll have a really useful insight on the pros and cons.

My issue is that whilst my lashes are reasonably long they’re not very dark or thick so I’m not sure just extensions will work for me – can they be used with eyelash dye? Does you (or anybody else!) have any experience of this combination?

    Thank you!

Hi there.. first I will say that I LOVED my lash extensions and do really miss them (I had them done by FlutterUK) and didn’t have any after effects when I stopped. You can actually use a mascara with extensions, but it has to be a special oil free version (luckily Flutter sell it and I used it often) but I really wouldn’t advise dyeing – I think it would break the lash glue bond for a start. If you have enough put in though you will find a much darker look to your lashes as well as a much thicker look. I can only recommend Flutter because they’re the only company I used.. I found them brilliant. Oh, you’re making me want extensions again!

  4. Definitely looks worth checking out! My bank account is crying . . .

I was in London yesterday and all the major retailers had it (John Lewis, hof etc). Of course I bought it and for once shade matches perfectly!! Had to get it after your and Caroline’s race reviews. Love it.

  7. Thanks for the info! (Glad to see on photo that Chanel really went away from their yellowish tints in every tone that kept me from buying their products for soooooooo long :)). One question though: that Laura Mercier Candle Glow you mentioned is also a foundation or just a highlighter?

  8. Ah, already found about Laura, no need for you to bother, thanks!

Never mind the foundation, I want the make up bag in the background sooooooo badly!!!

I think this is better over a primer without silicon (or no primer). I tried with a silicon based primer and there was slight pilling. It dries down v quickly too! Think it looks v natural and you don’t need much at all. Definitely not dewy but a subtle glow. Great product!

I checked it out today. The SA colour matched me to No20 my normal shade in Chanel. I thought Rose would be better going by the name No22, but it was actually paler on me.
