Well, this is all kinds of unexpected! Three classic red polishes from the way back machine are being re-issued. Rouge Flamboyant, Laque Rouge and Rouge No.19 were all hits of the 1980s – I missed every single one of these because I didn’t work in beauty then and I didn’t have any money either! So, it’s a bit of a thrill to now have the chance to try them.
The first in the swatch is Laque Rouge with a touch of raspberry to it, the middle swatch is Rouge Flamboyant, a classic pillar box red and Rouge 19 has the tiniest bit of shimmer to it.
The Chanel Cult Reds (Les Rouges Culte de Chanel) launch on 7th November for £18 each.

I love Chanel nail colours but no matter what i do, they just will not last on the nails. Many people i know say the same thing. Do you find that too? It is such a shame because the shades are gorgeous but i refuse to buy any more at that price when i can’t even get a full day out of them.
I am a nail technician too so i do know what i am doing. I wish they would change the formula to make it last. On my local Chanel counter, the lady tells me they sell many nail colours but get many returns too because of this problem.
I’ll be happy when they upgrade the formula to gel-effect to be honest.. am so used to using a thicker formula that this is a little thin now.
Agree. I only buy Chanel Le Vernis if the colour I want is very unique. Wear time is terrible.
