At first this product smells amazing – really zesty and minty at the same time. In fact, the very thing you’d like for a gorgeous wake-up shower in the morning. It’s also quite moisturising (thanks to Monoi) although I wouldn’t rate it in the top moisturising category but not bad for a budget buy (£8).
However, something strange happens after the initial burst; it goes a little bit sickly – you lose the lime and zestiness and it is replaced with a sickly sweet scent instead. I’ve used it neat on my hand to smell while writing this post and also to double check, but while I can pick up the teeniest scent of lime, it’s not nearly as lovely (to me) as I was hoping it would be. All I can get from the label is the generic ‘parfum’ so it could be anything (I’d guess ethyl maltol but its only a guess). On the plus, if you like sharp, zesty scents with a very sweet undertone that hangs around a while, you’ll love it!
It launches in July, right in time for the heatwave!
