Centrepoint Call Out To Brands

Centrepoint Call Out (The Bag Packing Elves from Make A Difference)

The annual call out to brands happens every year on my site and I end up feeling so proud of how many brands really rise to the challenge of donating products to Make A Difference. It’s a small beauty industry charity that ensures that young homeless women being looked after by Centrepoint get a bag of wonderful products on Christmas day. Bear in mind that most of the girls get absolutely no other gifts at all, so the Make A Difference bags really are poignant and special for them.

Make A Difference has been going for 16 years and is run by a small group of people from the beauty industry – from journalists and writers to PRs and make-up artists. They ensure that any products you donate are packed into beautiful gift bags and delivered to Centrepoint in time for Christmas morning.

So, what does Make A Difference need from brands? Skincare, hair care, make-up, fragrances and personal care in multiples of 50 (preferably up to 250 because that’s the number of bags gifted each year). You might have overstock or GWPs or even products left over from a promotion. If you’re able to help this year, please drop me an email at britishbeautyblogger@gmail.com. You won’t hear back from me but your email will be immediately forwarded to the Make A Difference Team and co-ordination will take place from there. Items are needed before December 15th.

Brands always do step forward on this one so if you’ve previously donated stock, thank you so much, and if you are new to Make A Difference, welcome and please know your generosity is deeply appreciated.

Last year I donated unused cosmetics, tights, perfumes etc to a women’s domestic abuse refuge – many women leave their abusive situations at Christmas time, taking their children with them, often with just the clothes they’re wearing…. I also donated colouring books, crayons, paper chains etc; gloves, socks, hair rollers, toiletries etc (the pound shops are fantastic for these items) as the ladies at the collection point said they are really welcomed to give the families a sense of normality… I’ll certainly do the same thing this year….

I have to say that is a very noble thing to do. God bless you @LadyNorwood let’s spread the word about this and inspire others to do the same.
