Here’s one thing I do take my own advice on – stocking up on winter cashmere in the summer sale. A few years ago, I decided that one of the things I wanted to do was swap my woollens wardrobe over to cashmere, gradually, obviously. I love cashmere – I’m from Scotland so it’s in my blood! However, it’s a rather expensive thing to do so I’ve done it very slowly by scooping up cashmere bargains where I can (and, admittedly, the odd splash out). Every time a summer sale pops up I head straight to the shmere… (most recently a J Crew black cashmere hoodie). I’ve just seen a couple of very handy items pop up in the Very Exclusive sale, including the boyfriend cardigan (wear with ripped jeans, white jeans, pyjamas.. anything!) at £95 instead of £199 HERE.
The v-neck navy sweater in the main picture is all kinds of useful – again, spectacularly reduced to £77 instead of £155. It’s HERE. I haven’t waited for Accessory Wednesday because these will just fly out… I’m usually out-priced on Cocoa Cashmere, which is a really lovely brand who’ve taken the fuddy-duddy out of cashmere and made it cool with clever cuts and design.
A tip is to always buy bigger than your normal size.. cashmere knits can be on the skimpy side, size wise, so when in doubt, go large.
