Cash Back On Your Beauty Buys

This kind of post is SO far removed from what I’d normally write about and the website is hideous, but for the beauty bargain hunters, it’s actually quite good. The bottom line of it is, is that you can earn money back from beauty (or anything else, actually) purchases which in its way is kind of a discount. Some of the money-back offers aren’t bad at all and actually far more than you could make on affiliate linking if you are a blogger.

Looking round the beauty stores that are taking part, I really think it’s something worth bearing in mind. There are offers from Boots, The Body Shop, FeelUnique, Avon, Superdrug and lots more. I understand that you choose a payment method and any money-back will come to you via your chosen method (Paypal, bank accounts). To use it, you go via the Topcashback site instead of straight to the on-line store and purchase through their links to the site. That registers your purchase and hey presto, at some stage, you’ll get money back. You can click HERE to sign up.

I have to confess I haven’t used yet, so I’d be interested to hear from BBB readers who might use this method to shop. Is it as good as it sounds?

  1. Hmm very interesting. I’d be interested to hear from bloggers who have used this service too!

I use Quidco mainly and Top Cash Back on most occasions when buying online – I certainly look at their sites before I purchase anything. It’s nice to get money back from companies such as Feel Unique, Escentual, Cult Beauty, L’Occitane, Debenhams, Gorgeous Shop, Space NK, Avon, etc. However, don’t bank on getting your cash back quickly, some will take a month or two, some can take up to 12 months and more sometimes. Also, once you’ve decided what to buy, it’s a good idea to completely get rid of your internet history before logging into the cashback site and clicking through from there – less chance of your cashback claim failing that way. I’m geeky and keep a spreadsheet so I can track every purchase properly. When it amounts to about £30 or so, I treat myself to something that I would never normally shell out on, guilt free 🙂

  3. I use it and its pretty good!! Saves me some money!

  4. I use it and it’s great for many of the high street stores, especially if you order online and get delivered to a local store you save on postage too. You can make quite a bit if you do you Christmas shopping online and it soon mounts up – definitely worth it.

I’ve been using topcashback for about 3 years and have had £1800 cash back to date. Most of my cash back has com from booking holidays via Expedia or ebookers, not so much on beauty websites.

  7. I use both Quidco and Topcashback. I actually wrote a post a while back and included some screen prints showing how much I had got back in the last year. The post is here if you wanted to see as it does show how much I would have basically given to the companies rather than pocketed.

  8. I haven’t used this site but regularly use Quidco, Cashback can be slow but worth it overall 🙂

My husband and I have been using Top Cashback for a couple of years and have made a few hundred pounds back. We buy pretty much everything online and it makes sense to ‘earn’ some money back.
