[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I don’t really feature beauty boxes much any more – they all got a bit samey to be honest. It feels like forever ago that I was actually doing my own boxes – this one has given me some thought that maybe it’s time to get another out. I know the effort that goes into producing a box that feels special and also feels like amazing value for money.
Many brands view beauty boxes as great sampling opportunities and others take a lot of persuading. I can’t actually believe I had boxes with Clinique, L’Occitane and Givenchy to name a few. Anyway, Caroline (friend and mid-life make up artist to the stars) has created a very special box with Latest In Beauty so I’ll take you through the contents which have a value of over £240.
I’ll kick off with the make up products which are stunning. There’s a leaflet in the box, by the way, that gives a further offer codes, such as 30% off anything from Emolyne, whose beautiful, creamy liner is included in the box. A good way to wear lip liner is to line the lips and then just use a lip balm across the whole lip to give a softened colour look that’s perfected-natural. Blink Brow Bar includes their Clear Brow Gloss, Delilah Smooth Shadow Stick in Pink Champagne is a gorgeous, eye opening summer shade, Stila Convertible Colour in Petunia is never not going to be a joy for both lips and cheeks and Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara is a can’t-go-wrong volumising mascara. Mii Cosmetics offers one of two shades – Summer Holiday or Peppermint Cream (seen) and if you know a better poolside toe colour, please let me know! This selection is so carefully thought out – use Jimmy Coco Self Tan (see below) as your base, Stila Petunia on your cheeks, Emolyne with some balm on your lips, Delilah Pink Champagne on lids and Revlon on lashes and you have a whole, beautiful, summery-fresh look. This is a very ‘Caroline’ look.
You could not surprise me more that there is a full size Jimmy Coco self tan in the box. It’s my favourite of all self tans. It’s the Tinted Self Tan Souffle which you can wear on the face or body and build it to a depth you like. I wore it all last summer on my face. Skingredients AHA! Cleanse is an active cleanser and micro mask (if you don’t use it as a quick mask – i.e. keep it on for a bit longer than you would a normal cleanser – you won’t get the AHA benefits), and also included is the Beauty Pro Eye Therapy Mask for flights or the morning after the night before and Doll Smash Velour Powder Puffs which I will repurpose as brilliant self tan applicators for the face.
On to skin care! Inside the box, you’ll find La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Hyperpigmentation Serum which is brand new, Eucerin Hyaluron Filler Vitamin C Booster, Emma Hardie Protect & Prime SPF30 (another of my favourite products) and Wonderskin Wonder Blading Lip Scrub that uses sugar grains to buff lips to smooth and silky. I’m so impressed with the contents that Caroline has curated – the make up selection fills a summer make up bag and you don’t need anything else at all so if your cosmetics need an overhaul, it’s one and done with her expert selection. I don’t need to persuade you that this is amazing value for £48 HERE.
