I’m not entirely sure how I missed the limited edition lip gloss by By Terry over Christmas. It’s a really good example of how seeing things out of context can bring a whole new meaning to it. The Gold Baume de Rose Parure Lip Balm was part of the Christmas collection – but it looks to me like a perfect spring – or even summer – balm to pop over the top of lipstick or just wear as a whisp of shimmer on its own.
It’s an iridescent wash of pink and gold – it IS shimmery – but I’m thinking sunshine, beaches, white beach wraps and suddenly it’s nothing to do with Christmas and everything to do with holidays. The blurb says it’s enriched with 24 carat gold – who cares! But if you like a sparkle, it’s game on!
I’ve found By Terry Gold Baume de Rose Parure Limited Edition Lip Balm for £18 instead of £20 HERE. In terms of texture, it does feel balmy, but shines like a gloss – there is no hint of stickiness although I am pretty sure I am detecting a rose scent which could drive you mad if you don’t like fragranced lip products.
