Burberry Kisses Lipstick

Sheer lipsticks really are the perfect thing for me – the new Burberry Kisses Lipstick is all about the sheer. The lipsticks have a magnetic closure which means if you have more than one they do not like to be parted from each other and so I’ve been chasing these around trying to separate them for a picture! I know, #bloggerproblems ;-).

Despite being disapproving of extreme lipstick prices (these are £25 each), sometimes you do have to pay for exactly the right thing. Lots of lipsticks make the claim to be all things to all women, but Burberry Kisses Lipstick does seem to be close to that – one swipe and you have a very sheer, gleaming wash of colour, a bit more and it intensifies. It doesn’t have the massive colour impact that some do, but you really can play around with these to get the density you like (other than the deepest).

So, here they are looking gentle – the shades are: English Rose, Devon Sunset and Pomegranate Pink (see, they’re stuck together!). I will say, though, that on the lip, they do come up a little bit darker than the swatches shown on my arm.

I’ve just taken a quick shot in the sunshine so you can see they’re nice and juicy on the finish and the formula contains tea, lavender and rosehip.

The Burberry Kisses Lipstick collection has 28 colours… if you love a sheer lip that has some substance to it, they’re already at Harrods, HERE.

  1. I heard these are going to replace the Lip Covers, which is weird because the Lip Covers are more opaque than this. I feel like this would be a better replacement for Lip Mists instead…

English Rose looks like such a great colour! Definitely one of my type of lipsticks shade.

  3. Hello Jane,
I’m a big fan of Burberry make up so I will take one or two of them for sure. Could you, plase, just confirm thats is a new formula as the colors have the same name that in old ranges, and if yes, what is the difference with Lip Mist range ?
    Thanks !

Hi there.. I have an answer for you! “The mists are more sheer, so they appear more like a balm. However the kisses is more pigmented – so it’s a lipstick that appears like a cream even though it’s a gel. So you get more colour and coverage – it also lasts longer.”

          1. Hi Jane,

            Thanks a lot !

I purchased the Oxblood Lip Mist in the holiday gold case, and, while I love the color, there is a very pronounced perfume in the product. I had read about the very floral fragrance, but wanted to give a Burberry lip product a try. I hope that one day they reconsider the perfume addition, as I love the overall quality of the line.

Lip mists I love so muchi hope they stay in the range of lipsticks. I would say that these are still more opaque tho. Lipmist are sheer like a lustre finish. These look like satin if you build up. Lip mist you not building up not like these.
