Gold and red are so predictable for Christmas, but when your edit is as pared down and carefully selected as Burberry Christmas 2015 it looks so much more enticing and manageable. There are only a few make up products and they’re all beautiful, alongside a couple of fragrance products.
First up is the Limited Edition Gold Glow Fragranced Luminizing Powder (£45). What I like about this is that it’s a beige gold – it’s so much more likely to be skintone friendly compared to the very yellow golds that we’ve seen from other brands. If you like to shimmer, this is the one that’s going to give a subtle finish. It’s also infused with the My Burberry fragrance which is great if you like that particular scent, terrible if you don’t!
Burberry Christmas 2015I have only a small selection here, but as it transpires, they’re the best of the selection available. The lower swatch is the Luminizer and the lipstick swatch is Military Red, as is the Nail Polish. It’s a properly glamorous, no nonsense red, and the limited edition shades for both lip and nail are ‘Festive Gold’ and we know how much I love a gold lip! #not.
Burberry Christmas 2015I was literally just saying that there are hardly any solid fragrances around, so I’m delighted with this little pot of My Burberry solid perfume.
It’s shot through with a smidge of shimmer but it’s barely noticable. The Burberry fragrance is soft, rosy and powdery – very wearable if you like a traditionally feminine scent – and lends itself well to a solid format. It’s £30 and for that price, it certainly looks the part in glass and gold.
