If you follow me on Twitter, then you’ll know that I don’t take much notice of Fashion Weeks. I went backstage at Burberry a couple of years ago and I can honestly say that I have never come across security like it, and pretty aggressive at that.

So this year, I watched the show live on-line from the comfort of my sofa. It was the best show I’ve ever seen and I genuinely felt quite emotional watching it. Tom Odell sang his debut single, Hold Me, live and it was such a perfect accompaniment to the clothing that it’s quite hard to explain; the music put them in an atmospheric context that made them even more stunning. Everything about the show was starkly simple and yet so impactful. Even more impressively, roughly half way through the show the clothes that hadn’t yet left the catwalk went on sale on the Burberry site. It made me teary for a very different reason that the coat I was totally coveting costs £6,000!

As you can see from the picture of Karli above that there’s some very sumptuous nail polish on its way for Burberry beauty for autumn 2013, with a closer look below.  The catwalk make-up so complimented the pieces that were being shown. A lot of LFW make-up is too statement and has little or nothing to do with the collections it is supposed to be complementing, but I’ve got to say, Burberry was damn near perfection.
