I’m a total sucker for anything Lily of the Valley scented; it’s such a pretty, light and delicate perfume that is perfect for Spring. I’ve written before about Muguet Day on May 1st – mainly it is tradition in France to buy Lily of the Valley for loved ones – but it is so lovely we should have it here too. In fact, early adopters of this tradition will get a perfect bargain, because unlike red roses on Valentine’s day, florists haven’t really caught wind of it and don’t quadruple prices. The downside is that Lily of The Valley isn’t all that easy to buy in the UK.
However, in the meantime, this range from BSQ, with iconic and stylish images of sixties supermodel, Jean Shrimpton, is perfectly nicely perfumed; not too sweet and not too powdery, but retaining all the essence of Lily of the Valley that you would want. Prices start at around £12 for the hand and nail cream shown above.
