Okay, well I’ve got to confess that my stomach is flipping with nerves even as I’m writing this. I’ve given a few hints on Instagram, so this is just to confirm really that yes, I have a limited edition range coming out with Marks & Spencer in October. Even though I love everything beauty, the one thing I have never wanted is my own range, so a limited edition collection with Marks & Spencer is the perfect way to satisfy creative cravings without the long-term commitment. When they approached me I was not cool and sophisticated about this at all.. I think I nearly wet myself shortly before I needed a long lie down.
It’s the press launch on Wednesday, so it would be somewhat ironic if I didn’t get the scoop on my own range, so the information I have is quite limited in terms of prices and colour shades (I know what they all are obviously, because I picked them, but some are still being made right now so I can’t do swatches yet).
A little bit about the range – I’ll be back with much more info and swatches further down the line. I created this range with all women in mind – focussing on wearable shades that anyone can work with but adding in a pop of colour for adventurous days. You don’t need to be adept at make up at all to use the products, but if you are, then there’s a lot you can do with the colours in terms of creating different looks. Of course, a big part of the collection is the illustration by Nuno da Costa, who drew my banner. I’ve loved his work since seeing it several years ago and I couldn’t be more thrilled with what he’s come up with – cascades of blue and pink roses for hair!
I’m pressing publish with a shaky finger and can’t quite believe I’ve got a post entitled BritishBeautyBlogger Makeup For Marks & Spencer. Blimey.
