Bourjois Sunlight Elixir

The first thing to say about Bourjois Sunlight Elixir is that you will smell beyond delicious. In fact, people might lick you. Sunlight Elixir is the Bourjois version of an exotic fragrance dry oil, and it’s outstripping most that I’ve smelled in the past in terms of tropical loveliness. Weirdly though, it’s hard to say what it does smell of – there are no notes indicated – so I get vanilla, fruit, flowers, holidays and suncream; that’s all I can tell you!

It’s tinted with bronze – I realise I’ve made it look as though I’ve grown a giant bronze nipple on my arm – and it’s a very golden shade, although for my taste, over-generous with the sheen. Once you rub in though, you get a gorgeous, warm, light bronze colour, albeit with some sparkles.

My camera isn’t picking up the twinkles, but they’re there. I’d be tempted to mix Bourjois Sunlight Elixir with some other body oil to lessen the sheen, but that’s a personal taste thing. If you want pearly sheen shot legs with a natural looking veil of light golden bronze, you will have it. I think it’s still a few weeks til launch, but do keep your eyes peeled for it.

  1. Loving the light colour this gives, very natural, the only thing I’m not too sure about it the sparkles but I’d be up for giving it a try!

Shame they have to add the sparkles, a matte, or rather, non sparkly version would be perfect.

I think it looks awesome! Has a bit of SPF in it too! Might be nice for those last days of holiday when I’m feeling depressed about not having enough of a tan hahaha!

I think I’ll stick to my Nuxe golden oil as it’s less sparkly…..

    1. I’m all about the Nuxe oil too! But I might give this one a go for night-time glamour – girl’s gotta glow in the candlelight! x

  10. Sounds gorge! If just for the scent you describe and moisturising properties alone 🙂 Again, post 40 so not so into sparkles but I think I could make an exception for legs and shoulders on a special summer night out. Lovely! Thanks Jane xx @ukglowology

  11. I’m obsessed with all things Bourjois at the moment, so this will undoubtedly be going in my basket once it hits stores!
