Bourjois Gel Foundation Healthy Mix Serum

I really like this foundation launching at the beginning of October (although I believe it has already launched in other countries). Despite being billed as a ‘gel’ texture, I’m not sure it feels too different to other foundation textures, although it’s ability to almost instantly blend is partly to do with the gel-ness of it. The ‘Healthy Mix Serum’ part of the foundation formula contains lychee, goji and pomegranate and actually makes the foundation smell pleasantly fruity. Long term, the mix of vitamins and antioxidants will apparently give 69% more radiance after 4 weeks.

On wearing, I have to admit that the formula feels weightless – you cannot feel the foundation is there – and it is definitely bringing something to overall skin softness. Coverage is good – not overly dewy which can sometimes look oily, and not too matte either which can look very drying. At £10.99, it’s giving a more expensive finish and performance showing that you just don’t need to make a major spend on foundation any more. I think it will be the one to beat when it launches.

  1. Oh Jane, You have once again made my day! This looks amazing, love the healthy mix foundation- will have to keep a look out when in Europe on hols, and try and grab some 🙂 xxx

  2. I am so excited for this as I am already a massive lover of the original Healthy Mix!

  3. “gel-ness of it” <-- that sounds very interesting, although at the end of the day, and ultimately, it will be down to how much coverage i can get and how it will perform on the pores of my cheeks. now if only they did mini mini mini samples of it we could buy. am talking enough for 3 days of foundation and not in a sachet i cant buy x

  4. i meant ‘not in a sachet i cant hermetically close’ afterwards x

  5. Jemma Page

    I need this! xx

  6. Ms Red

Id like to know if it comes in super pale shades…. tbh.

    xx

  7. Hi Ms Red: the lightest it comes is a shade called Light Vanilla which sounds like a warm toned pale shade, but I haven’t actually seen it. As it comes in ony 8 shades, I’d say that if you are super pale it is unlikely to go light enough.

Wow I’m really looking forward to this launch as I love the healthy mix foundation and the organic foundation aswell tbh. Bourjois have really stepped it up lately 🙂

  9. Is there a yellow toned shade for medium to fair Asians? This looks good…

  10. I’m really looking forward to this as Healthy Mix is my favourite foundation so far.

I’m NW15 and I find the lightest shade in Healthy Mix foundation a good match. I’d say it’s quite neutral and light-medium coverage so a bit more forgiving than other foundations.

Do you think it’s improved your skin’s radiance at all? I can’t help but be a little bit sceptical about this product’s claim x

  12. Rebecca I have only used it once so not in a position to say x

  13. Hi, do you have any ideas when this will be hitting UK shops?
