This has nearly driven me mad! The Body Shop Glazed Apple Tin is a slippery little something or other – I bet 9 out 10 people drop it when they open it. It also has a balance issue – Body Shop you need to give your apples fatter bottoms!
Green Apple is a return fragrance – Body Shop fans will remember it from the first time around, but for Christmas it’s been given some sugar coating in the form of Glazed Apple. So, instead of that lovely, crisp scent, it’s like toffee apple meets the pick n mix. I know that lots of people love a gourmande fragrance but I’m not one of them, so for me it’s kind of a crime against apples. And, those horrible shower scrunchie things – there must be a million in landfill – it’s a lazy filler really.
So inside slippy tin is a Glazed Apple Body Polish, a Glazed Apple Shimmer Lotion, a Glazed Apple Shower Gel and a Glazed Apple Body Butter, all in mini-sizes. By the time you’ve smothered on that lot, don’t be surprised if someone accidentally tries to cook you. It’s £17 HERE.

Well this is disappointing! 🙁 I was literally about to buy some of the glazed apple products on the website! I was expecting a nice fresh apple scent, like the scent some shampoos have? Gutted!

The Body Shop always disappoints me. I wish they would return the days when it was postal order only and they sold lovely things like Marigold conditioner and potions that made me think they had been cooked in a cottage-y herbalist’s kitchen.
I am confused about this scent. I read by now about 6 different posts about this product and tonnes of comments and i hear everything from awesome to stinks. Some say it just smells like fresh apple, others say it smells like christmas market. I have in a subscription box which is unfortunately still in Germany, so i guess i will let myself get surprised 🙂
I was given a sample of the Glazed Apple Shimmer Body Lotion from one of the shops recently, and note 2 things. Firstly the scent. It smells like apple sweets. If they make apple Opal Fruits they would be like this (showing my age there!). Secondly the shimmer. Your hands look like a bloody disco ball after applying this! The sample I had was a wee pot that had a hand written label and did not mention the word ‘shimmer’. I applied it after an evening bath then looked like a fairy had threw up on me. Not good.
Not sure I could use all those products in the same pamper session, talk about an apple overload! I might pick up something after smelling it for myself in store!
