[productsample/affiliate] Ulla Johnson is probably better known in the US than the UK but this collaboration is a great match, pushing Bobbi Brown out of its black packaging comfort zone and into a nude toned pink instead. If you don’t know Ulla, the fashion vibe is floaty prints, ruffles, embroidery and tailoring.
It’s a small collection – five items in total, but I’m including the Extra Lip Tints where in reality they don’t count because they’re not in the collab packaging so therefore, in my book, not a legitimate part of it. However, they do fit the look so I see why they’re suggested by the Bobbi Brown brand. Starting with the Cheek Palettes – above is Esme, with a white opal toned highlight and peachy pink blush. The blush, by the way, is Pot Rouge in a different format so at a pinch you could also use on the lips.
Above is Ynez – a golden pink highlight with Pot Rouge in Uber Beige. This is perfect for my skin tone although I’m liking the pink blush as well. The highlight in both is exceptionally good – not too sparkly and beautifully light catchy to give some dimension to skin. They’re grown up highlighters, and together with the blush and little vial of Extra Face Oil for either extra glow or dry patches, lovely things to have. I can see this appearing in my holiday bag because they’re so compact and portable. It’s a nice format although I think I’d rather see a fragrance than an oil as the third part.
In the swatch bottom to top: Esme then Ynez. They’re £30 each HERE, non affiliate HERE.
The Minou Palette is the star, in my opinion. Gentle, wearable, multidimensional and versatile, and represents a resurgence in nude and neutral colour-ways that I’m seeing a big return to from several brands.
The shade I love most is Antique Rose, something I could wear every single day. There’s a bit of sparkle in the form of Chiffon and contrast with Hot Stone.
Shades from bottom to top: Shell, Antique Rose, Champagne Quartz, Chiffon, Hot Stone. It’s £36.50 HERE non affiliate HERE. The lipstick is the signature Bobbi ‘pop’ – it’s in the Crushed Lip Colour formula and is called LouLou. It’s £24.50 HERE non affiliate HERE.
