I’ve been out of touch with this brand that used to be an absolute favourite for such a long time now that I cannot remember the last Bobbi post I did. However, I’ve got my hands now on a Desert Twilight Palette and it has reminded me why I loved the range so much.
To say that Desert Twilight is all about understated beauty pretty well sums up Bobbi Brown in a nutshell. Other than occasional forays into brights, the brand uses neutrals so cleverly to enhance your looks – there’s never anything shouty and it’s all pretty safe.. but clever safe, which I love.

The shades in this palette are soft (other than Chocolate Mauve), but do that thing of opening up the eye with velvety earth tones; sands, pinks and taupes just about cover it. I used Twilight Pink yesterday with a line over the lash of Chocolate Mauve to give it a smoky element and it made my eyes look even browner.. loved it. For me this is very much an every day palette that you literally can’t go wrong with and that’s worth it’s weight in gold. My only slight complaint is with the Dusk Sparkle shade.. it’s such a non shade that only adds twinkle that you can already get in Watercolour Pink and Twilight Pink that it seems a waste to have it there. It’s £48 for eight colours which is not bad at all and I also like it for its non seasonal colour palette.. these shades will work any time of the year. Find it HERE
