Bobbi Brown Treatment Lipshine SPF15

Every single time I am sent a Bobbi Brown lip product, it becomes immediately indispensible. That’s exactly what has happened with the new Treatment Lipshine, that feels nothing like a balm and yet contains all kinds of balmy ingredients such as apricot kernel oil, jojoba and avocado oils, as well as peptides and Vitamin C. I was sent the colour Papaya..a beautifully vibrant coral pink shade that is totally wearable for my colouring..and that’s exactly what I’ve done – worn it all day! Twelve new shades including Nectarine, Plumberry and Rosy Nude, make the line up and they’re on counter in July at £17 each…and worth every penny as far as I’m concerned. The formula feels soft on the lips and gives a sheen with high pigment…kind of like a lipstick pigment but with a creamy/sheer feel.

My Bobbi glosses are the only ones that I use literally to the very end…I dread to think how many I’ve got through over the years.

I’m not so sure though about the Denim & Rose palette though (it’s on plenty of other blogs if you google around a bit) – seems a little bit 80’s to me, but since I seem to fall for anything and everything Bobbi, I’ll probably succumb in the end.

  1. July? These have been out for at least a month now, I’ve seen them in Debenhams.

Personally, I hope no one succumbs to BB’s Denim & Roses palette. I’m so irked about the way it was designed. The palette might be fine for a collector who will never actually use it, but for those of us who prefer our things to function well, the palette is a big fail. The palette is a zippered case which contains cream products and powder products without any visible way of protecting the one from the other. This is a make-up mess waiting to happen and the zipper running around three sides is a hassle. As for the cosmetics themselves, it’s just a mishmash of colors without any real focus or theme. I loved BB’s spring coral collection, but this Denim & Roses palette . . . meh!

  3. Maybe its the new colours out in July…but the press release definitely said July!!
