Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint

I don’t use the term ‘must have’ lightly, but joy of joys! Bobbi has a proper winner here with the Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint. As you know, I love a Bobbi gloss and the Extra Lip Tint is almost a balm version of the gloss – it has all the feel of Bobbi but none of the stickiness (which for the record, I like!).

It’s a body heat adaptive product, so does a colour change thing on the lips. However, don’t be thinking the neon glow of other heat colour changers – this is much more subtle and warm on my lips, falling somewhere between pink and peach. It gives a great glossy look, too and feels sleek, rich and comforting on the lips. I am completely smitten by this for weekend make up – oh and every day in the week as well! It’s £25 HERE.

The other thing to add in is that this falls as part of Bobbi skin care, not makeup, and it promises to smooth away fine lines, give fuller lips and zero flakes. Honestly, I don’t think you’ll regret this one.

Bobbi Brown Face Masks

You probably already know – because I’ve seen these everywhere as well – that there are three new face masks coming from BB. I love a face mask – I haven’t tried my samples out yet – but Radiance Boost will be on my face before the day is out. You can choose from Radiance Boost, Instant Detox (which looks suspiciously like Origins Detox mask) or Skin Nourish. For many of us, Bobbi skin care is a bit of an unknown quantity, which is a shame because there are some gems in the range. You can, when these launch on 21st January, buy the Mini Mask Trio for £10 – 3 little sample size tubes and unless you already know the skin care range, I’d recommend that (but try asking for samples at counter first – it may be that they have some to give out and you won’t have to pay for them).

  1. it might just be me, but i really don’t see much of anything in the way of tint…. not sure it would make any sort of difference at all on medium to darker lips. that being said, i love a good balm that is more of a treatment than a cosmetic, so i am still tempted.

No.. there is no tint really when you first apply but one appears as it reacts to the skin heat.

  2. I agree Jane; I think Bobbi Brown skincare is underrated and have been so impressed with anything I’ve tried, esp the Extra and Hydrating lines. The Lip Tint sounds lovely. x

Bought this entirely on your say so, Jane, and am happy to say I love it! All other colour-change balms go bright pink on me (I’m looking at you, Zelens Lip Tint) but this just deepens my lip colour by a couple of shades, which is exactly what I want from a throw-on-and-go lippie. Plus it is properly moisturising, which so many tints claim to be but aren’t (I’m looking at you, Clinique Chubbystick). Great work, BB, but why is it limited edition? I hope it will be a permanent addition to the range.

Whew..that’s a relief! But yes, I really hope it goes into the permanent line up because it’s a fantastic product and I’m so pleased you like it.
