Benefit Zero Tanlines

There’s a whole lot of Hoola coming our way around mid-March 2016 from Benefit. Dew The Hoola (above) is the most exciting from my point of view – glow without glitter. Matte bronzers or skin tints are hard to find if you really don’t like that glimmer most of them contain – one minute you look completely nicely healthy and then the sun catches you and you might as well have replaced your head with a glitter ball.

In theory, Dew The Hoola will give you all the bonne mine look without the glitter smash. I haven’t tried it yet properly on my face (there is only so much glow you can have in January without looking rather out of place) but in swatching, the texture is light and very blendable.

The biggie for Benefit is Zero Tanlines – a cleverly packaged skin tint (not fake tan) that washes off. The packaging contains (under the hula skirt) a buffing sponge so you can forget the tan mitt. Totally not needed here. This packaging reminds me of old style Benefit when they used to do quirky stuff with humour. The fact that it’s more lampshade than hula skirt – we can brush over that.

Ooh, I guess Dew The Hoola is being released to compliment Shy Beam? It would make sense if they’re trying to tap into contouring!

  3. both of these sound great! Dew the Hoola is on my list, along with Shy Beam!

I miss the retro humour vibe from Benefit from years ago when I first dabbled in makeup/their brand.

  5. Ooh, Dew the Hoola sounds nice! I am not a shimmerer; this sounds like a nice option. Is it warm toned, though? Warm on me means orange.

I miss the old school Benefit – remember Glamazon? I loved that stuff.
