Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer

I’ve had lots of queries on this – and a lot of comments saying it looks like Top Shop. I think this is going to be Benefit’s Marmite product. I’ve tried it twice and yes, it does bind your foundation to your skin – no doubt about that – but doesn’t stay the 15 hour course. I rub my face a lot, so it may well be that I am not the best tester on this, but from a 9am start, it stayed the course really well all through the morning, but by late afternoon, my make up had definitely faded.

The texture is hard to describe and this is why I think it will be Marmite. It’s a stick that obviously you have to rub all over your face – it feels quite heavy in texture and gives what I can only describe as a ‘waterproof’ feel to your skin – the stick aspect and the texture means it isn’t like a normal primer that you can then rub in or around your face; it pretty much stays where you rub it without much movability afterwards. That waterproof feeling quickly goes away and there is an instant mattifying effect that I noticed over my nose and that has lasted well so far. I’m not sure I’d like to be hot with this ‘coating’ under my make up – but that said, it doesn’t feel like my skin can’t breathe.

It’s hard to recommend as I know some will love and some will loathe.. I guess you’ll only know when you try it out. But as for binding make up – yes, it really does but not for the full 15.

wish it was on QVC so could be returned if it didnt work but I think that with the majority of products

Rubbing a stick all over your face doesn’t seem particularly hygenic either… Lets just wipe that delightful chin spot allll the way up to our foreheads, shall we?
Yes, I can see why you mean about ‘marmite’. Xo
