Benefit Puff Off!

The first launch of many for the new year, Benefit Puff Off is a cooling eye gel and concealer in one. It’s easily one of the better ones out there, with an iron shaped applicator that’s intensely cool to the touch. However, while the box is big, don’t be surprised at how small the actual product is inside (10ml).

And, be very wary of not squirting out too much – this stuff leaves the tube far too quickly! You only really need a tiny amount to come out of the applicator for you to start massaging around the eye area. Benefit Puff Off definitely leaves the skin under the eyes looking and feeling better – it’s a little bit hard for me to say if it effectively reduces puffs; my eyes really aren’t puffy (hope I’m not tempting fate with that statement!) but all the indications are there that it would, from the cold applicator to the gentle gel.

The best thing about Benefit Puff Off is that you can keep on applying during the day over your make-up without disturbing things – the formula contains light diffusing particles which give a brightening effect but because it’s such a light gel it won’t play havoc with your foundation and concealer.

Benefit Puff Off is £22.50 and launches at the end of February 2015.

It looks like yet another Benefit product I love the sound of but can’t afford! Not complaining though, my Benefit splurge day will come soon 🙂

Hi Jane, do you happen to know if the applicator contains any nickel? Thanks.

    1. Jane

      I don’t.. but I have a nickel allergy and didn’t have a reaction.

      1. Jess_Benefit

        It’s a nickel free applicator 🙂

Completely forgot I asked this! Thanks for replying. Good to hear. I’m severely allergic too, it’s not fun when beauty becomes painful! Happy New Year.

  6. This sounds good in theory, but would be useful to know about the consistency, coverage and staying power. Your review suggests that the product would not last very long (it dispenses generous amounts and only contains 10ml), and still requires extra concealer to be used in addition? Please forgive me if I am incorrect, but this appears to be a sponsored post and seems quite biased. Would you repurchase this product yourself? Thanks so much, Bee.

    1. Jane

It’s not sponsored! If it was sponsored it would be labelled as such, I promise. It dispersed too much in one go in my view which is a fault with the product, so I was suggesting that if you do buy it, squeeze lightly and carefully. It’s not a concealer, although it contains light reflective ingredients – you move the ‘iron’ to smooth down puffiness and the forumla just adds a bit of radiance to the area. I hope that explains.

  7. I’d love to try this but the iron is probably a gimmic haha! xx

Nothing about this post even hints at a ‘sponsored’ tone for me.
I always find this blog scrupulously honest about these things.

I absolutely love Benefit products- everything about them is cute! I’m not sure I’ll try this because like you, I don’t really have puffy eyes, but it seems like a great product!

  10. The formula sounds really interesting. I’m curious to read more reviews

  11. Oh I love the way Benefit does the packaging! Hey Jane, can you do a long term review maybe after using a whole tube of puff off?

To be honest, probably not. It’s not something I would naturally use every day – in fact, I don’t really use eye cream at all. I know.. I will live to regret!
