Beauty Now: Stuff You Can Buy Today

Avene Micelllar Water

If you missed out on the Bioderma frenzy last week, you might want to look for this micellar which is another favourite of mine (I have three favourites: Bioderma, Avene and B…oh, and I’ll sneak Dior in as a late-comer, so actually that’s four). Escentual has 25% off Avene as part of their French Pharmacy week (it excludes Bioderma anyway) and this is a very good price at £9.37. Find it HERE.

Estee Lauder Mad Men Blush

I’ve just got my hands on the Estee Lauder Mad Men collection which I will swatch over the weekend, but if you are late getting your Mother’s Day gift sorted and are anywhere near Harrods or Selfridges over the weekend, the collection has just launched there. Or, it’s on line HERE. The See-Thru Blush is £48.

MAC Mineralize Lipstick

The new MAC Mineralize Rich lipstick collection has launched literally this morning. There are 12 shades to pick from and they cost £20. My money is on Lady At Play (hyper-coral) and Everyday Diva (full on red). Find them HERE. They’ve only got 77 minerals in them, so no biggie…. 😉

more expensive than expected at £20 each!

  3. These new lipsticks are the ‘bomb’- Funny I also chose Lady at Play!
I actually just reviewed it. BBB get one quick as you will love them!

  4. These lipsticks are wonderful, so soft and moisturizing so provide the lips with nourishment, hydration as well as awesome color.

The Avene micellar is head and shoulders above Bioderma in my opinion…. It is way more soothing and less like a makeup remover. I only bought Bioderma because of all the rage and I’m wishing I’d just trusted my instincts! Highly recommend it to anyone with a bit more sensitive skin.

  6. £20 for a MAC lipstick? I think I’ll pass. I had a play with them at Gatwick yesterday and the packaging and colour range in no way merit that price, however wondrous the texture may be.
