We really couldn’t have picked a better weekend to get into the mood of Provence. But, you also need to get your Korean mood on, because the BBB L’Occitane Precious Petals Box is about products within the L’Occitane family. Did you know that Erborian is part of L’Occitane? And, Melvita? While each brand is very different, they all sit under the L’Occitane brand umbrella, and it’s very rare that I don’t rave about the products from all three groups. In fact, I completely credit Erborian for making me feel excited about skin care again. If you’ve followed BBB a while, you might remember I went to the Melvita factory in The Ardeche a couple of years ago (the post is HERE) and loved seeing the actual products being made. L’Occitane was founded in 1976, acquired Melvita in 2008 and Erborian a couple of years ago. So, it’s a diverse collection under one label, and we’ve brought them together in the BBB L’Occitane #PreciousPetals Box with a floral theme – hence the Precious Petals hashtag!
My thinking around this box is that it’s all about feeling the spring and summer in the prettiest possible way – they’re all sizes you can easily pack for a holiday or long weekend where you can put the seven products through their paces and upsize with the vouchers if you find one (or as many as you like!) that you really love. With that in mind, we’ve included a pre-paid postcard so you can send us your thoughts – there are four different pictures all depicting vintage Provencal scenes. We will ensure that our friends at L’Occitane see every single one of your comments even if you just want to say hello! This is truly an every-age box: beauty gets way too functional sometimes and we forget the pleasure of it.
So, I’ll go through each of the items.
1. L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream 30ml (£8)
I’m surrounded by Cherry Blossom at the moment, so this couldn’t be more timely: L’Occitane hand creams use a beautiful blend of shea butter so your hands are properly nourished as well as having this delicate late spring scent.
2. L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil 75ml (£7)
As if any BBB box could go without this – it’s one of L’Occitane’s best selling products for its gorgeous fragrance and skin softening properties.
3. Erborian CC Cream 15ml (£17)
When this CC cream launched from Erborian, it was an instant hit for evening out skin tone and giving a hit of hydration. If you’re wondering about the ‘petal’ part – it’s powered by a vibrant green plant called centella asiatica.
4. L’Occitane Divine Cream 8ml (£14)
Divine Cream has a fan base all of its own – nourishing, rich and full of hylauronic acid as well as precious immortelle flower.
5. Melvita Rose Floral Water 28ml (£2.50)
I’m expecting this to be a supersizing favourite – there is nothing quite like spritzing hot skin with Rose Floral Water straight from the fridge to give you a soothingly scented, instant cooler.
6. Melvita L’Or Bio 17ml (£7.50)
L’Or Bio is another of Melvita’s instant hits – scented with bergmot, lemon, orange, jasmine and fig, it’s a light feeling oil that gives a beautiful skin sheen over a slug of hydration.
7. Erborian Camellia Oil 3ml (£6)
Don’t let the dinky size fool you – a little goes a long way! I prefer to use this skin smoothing and hydrating oil over night for a softened and moisturised complexion by morning.
We also have £10 off from EACH brand with a £30 or more spend so if you want to supersize and treat yourself to something.
Finally, we’ve made the box as pretty as possible so you might like to keep it to house bits and bobs, and you’ll notice a beautiful fragrance when you open it – we’ve spritzed every single box so your discovery journey starts as soon as you take off the lid. The BBB L’Occitane Precious Petals Box is £20 including P&P. Please try to use the #preciouspetals if you’re talking to us on social media so that we don’t miss any of your questions or comments. I will be around all of Sunday to help or chat and I’m with Fiona from Latest In Beauty who will be ensuring the process goes smoothly from that end, too. You can find it HERE.
