I really wish I’d kept my original Bathina products – I’d love to be able to compare the smell because I am sure it isn’t the same as the original. I’ve had a few comments on original Benefit products recently – remember Kitten Powder and Sandal Scandal? Bathina belongs to the old days of Benefit bit still manages to be modern. Whether the fragrance has just been uplifted, I’m not sure, because the first Bathina was so long ago I can’t remember. However, of all the Benefit arms, I think I like Bathina the best – it’s just simpler somehow and thoroughly vintage in style. I’d be really curious to know if Bathina is bought by new customers or if it’s still there just to keep the original Benebabes happy.
I can’t say I love the bottle – it’s kind of just a bit too shiny and pink! But the scent is lovely – very fruity and very light so ideal for an all over spritz that won’t play havoc with your senses all day long. There’s nothing not to like – it’s a true crowd-pleaser. Benefit advise using it whenever you feel flirty – that’s actually made me laugh out loud. Because nothing says flirty like the smell of lemons, right? There’s nothing flirty about Bathina Body Mist – it’s just a lovely, fresh, fruit-floral with powdery notes – pretty is all it is.
Bathina Body Mist launches in September for £24.50.
