Barry M Gelly Nails Summer 2014

Ooh.. summer Gellys from Barry M! The seven new shades launch in May (into Superdrug first, then Boots) for £3.99 each. I think Barry M Gelly Nails are some of the very best budget polishes around and easily out-perform luxury brands in terms of wear and longevity. Barry M Gelly Nails Summer 2014 is a bit of a surprise – everyone else has gone yellow and orange, but this is quite an eclectic selection for a summer range.

From top and clockwise: Olive, Elderberry and Pink Punch.

Again top and clockwise round: Coconut, Damson, Almond and Kiwi.

My favourite shade is Elderberry – a light blue with ashy grey tones to it; I’m looking at it now thinking I’d quite like a room painted in that shade. The one I think will be the Marmite colour is Olive – it just looks a little dirty to me – it’s a greyed down, creamy green.

I’ve got a stellar Barry M nail give-away coming up on the blog in a couple of days time, so keep your eyes peeled for more polishes than you can imagine!

I love love love gelly hi shines – I think I’ll want to see these in store to see how they compare to shades I already have as some of them look quite similar – I’ll definitely end up with a couple though because I’m a hi-shine addict!

Some of this colours look very similar to some of those that have already been released by Barry M! Like the elderberry looks like blueberry from last year and olive looks like Lychee, Damson looks familiar too. If you have these shades could you do a comparison? 🙂

Have to agree that the Barry M Gelly polishes are brilliant – they’re available in some great shades, don’t need top coat and wear like iron! And they’re so affordable, what’s not to love?!
I rather like the olive shade myself, but I have a thing for greyed out shades…and purples, and blues, and, well, all the colours really….actually a bit scared to count my nail polishes, what’s the number at which it’s officially an obsession I wonder?!
I’ll be looking out eagerly for the giveaway but even if I’m not the lucky one I have some Boots Advantage card points that will soon be swelling the existing ranks of Barry M Gelly polishes in my stash, hehehe, Jo 🙂

The Pink Punch looks really pretty! I agree with you, the wear of Barry M polishes outperforms some of the top luxury brands! Definitely one of my favorite budget brands.

  7. I adore the Gelly range, I only bought my first 2 the other week and have been wearing them religiously! Love all of the new shades!

Some of the colours look so similar to ones they previously released. I am intrigued by them, but i’ve heard that they take ages to dry x
