B. Art Palettes

B. is really stepping up its make-up offering – the B. Art Edition Pro Face Kits are all about the base with a Cream Foundation, Cream Concealer, Pressed Powder and a Highlighter in each one. I love the fact that it’s all your base essentials in one place although it will be interesting to see which one runs out first! The kit you see above is for pale skin tones (and a cheeky visitor!).

The next one is for medium skin tones.

And the third is for darker skin tones – although I suspect not quite dark enough – I feel there should be a fourth one for much deeper tones.

Texture wise (I’ve only played around with the medium toned set) I found the foundation coverage quite light, but easily buildable and it gave a lovely sheer finish, the concealer, too is lighter in texture than you’d expect but that’s an advantage for no cakiness. Surprisingly, I love the highlighter – its subtle and does exactly what it should by adding the right amount of light to cheekbones. The only anomaly in the box is the powder – it ideally needs a brush for application, and there’s one sponge to do both foundation and powder. Nonetheless, it does a very decent setting job.

I love the B. Art Edition Pro Face Kits for space saving, handbag shoving and desk drawer keeping – they launch in January for £14.99 but usually B. has plenty of offers so they could well launch at a different price.
