Aveda has been fundraising for clean water for 10 years. In that time, believe it or not, Aveda and their consumers have raised $38 million, not least because 100% of the RRP from the Aveda Light The Way Candle 2016 candle (excluding VAT) goes to charity (this time, it’s Global Greengrants). Each purchase of a candle ensures clean water for a family of six for six months and in candle sales alone, over $11 million has been raised.
It’s a lightly scented candle, I won’t lie, but if you like that relaxing kind of spa-botanical scent, it’s so pretty and doesn’t actually need to blast your nose. It’s a ‘background’ candle, not a ‘foreground’ candle. The wax is housed in reclaimed bottle glass and the outer packaging is 90% recycled paperboard. Its £16 HERE.
