[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I kind of knew I’d love this so the review will be somewhat predictable I feel, given that this is a brand I’ve liked for such a long time. I tested (a much less expensive) atomiser a little while ago and have really enjoyed using it so this feels like much like an upgrade from standard to first class (not that I’ve ever had one of those!).
This is such an easy to use thing – pick your oil, remove the lid from the atomiser, take out the bottle that’s in there, replace with your chosen oil putting in the diffusion head first, and insert. Lid goes back on, choose how often you want it to puff out some aromatherapy and relax. Currently, mine does a little boost every 30 minutes but you can choose from an hour or three hours if you prefer (by pressing one button). I’ve got Forest Therapy in the atomiser at the moment – I dare not have Deep Relax for fear of dropping off at my desk.
You get a few little wafts of mist and yet, it’s a waterless product that uses pressured air via nebulising technology. There’s no heat either and you can transport the device to whichever room you want it in, recharging as and when necessary. I have found it to be very generous in fragrance when it boosts so depending upon the size of your room you might want it on the hourly or even three hourly setting. Or one puff and turn it off. I’m definitely taking the Deep Relax option to my bedroom – I really need an extra two hours a night because I’m still in the horrible wake-up-to-a-whisper mode of Covid stress and as soon as I saw it I knew it would be a reliable and supportive yoga companion.
At the moment, Aromatherapy Associates is including two essential oils in the purchase price (usually £25 each) which is £120 and I think that’s a very good deal.
It’s pricy because it’s such a step up from any other atomisers I’ve come across – pretty much gold standard in efficacy – and has an unobtrusive presence that’s gentle and soothing. I can easily fast-forward myself to chilly winter evenings feeling embraced and comforted as I can experience it in the present as I am now with intermittent puffs of calm.
