I blogged the Antonia Burrell Mask Supreme when I was sent a pre-sale sample a few months ago – I used up every single last drop of it and was so pleased when the full-size turned up. I get asked a lot what I would actually part with my own money for, and this is one of the things that I would, although at £57, I’d be definitely saving it for ‘best’.
The Antonia Burrell Mask Supreme claims 7 noticable skin actions – moisturising, smoothing, detoxing, repairing, clarifying, illuminating, protecting and perfecting – erm, which is actually 8! However, I would say that you can’t see any visible signs of repairing or protecting, but what impressed me about this mask is that it does have a clearly noticable effect in terms of smoothing and illuminating. My skin was infinitely better feeling and looking after use.
At £57, it’s a very expensive way to take advantage of the claims and to use as daily skin care – this little pot would do between ten and fifteen masks, I would guess, if you were sparing. But as a perk up for the complexion, when you need a boost, it’s a little miracle. There’s plenty of information on the site about what else it does – including preventing sunburn cells from forming (wow) – but unless it’s in daily use, I am not sure quite how helpful those things are in a mask. There’s no real indication of how many times you’d need to use it to get the claimed benefits. If all the benefits of the Antonia Burrell Mask Supreme was in a night cream, for example, I’d be ordering in bulk.
