Following a comment (posted on the original review) in which GreatSheElephant mentioned that US reviews of this foundation find it glitter-laden, I’ve gone back and given it another go. At first, in the dim morning light, I wondered what on earth she was talking about..all I could see was a very, very faint shimmer – BUT then by chance, the sun came out! And, she is absolutely correct….this is a very sparkly base. I don’t like shimmery bases that use glitter as ‘glow’ – not the same thing at all. I can’t even stand by the rest of the review now…I liked the texture, for sure, and coverage is excellent, but would now, with the benefit of hindsight, say it is a better base for evening where shimmer is more appropriate than daytime. If you are at all shimmer-shy like me, it’s not the one for you. Thanks, GreatShe.

Oh no, what a shame!! Sounded like a good concept as well. Glitter in base products (or in “glow” products) is a pet hate of mine too – it really annoys me that manufacturers think grown women actually want to go out with glittery faces. The worst is when I don’t realise glitter until I’m out in the sun and I catch my reflection in a window… horrible.

Curtsies. Makeupalley must take the credit.

arg i hatee it when brands put glitter in things as shimmer-you are completely right, it is nott the same as shimmer or glow, who ever thinks that must be blind, it generally means i get sparkly stuff stuck in my brow area or under my nose which then looks very odd!
