So, everyone at Pure did a great job blogging on BBB for the day – especially Kelly, who was the only one to have access backstage, so to speak. Thank you Pure!
After showing Kelly the basics, I sneaked off for a Thalgo facial and then met a friend for coffee. I popped back to Pure to see how things were going and then I went shoe shopping (boots below HERE) ! I even read a magazine (Marie-Claire). Unheard of!
While Kelly’s style is completely different to mine, I really was happy, given that it is her first time ever blogging with how seriously she took it – I could never say she didn’t do her absolute best. Although she’s had her own say, I think Kelly had a few surprises. I sent her on two appointments (and did one myself, but sent her the images to blog immediately) which took up a good part of her morning (thank you Kim at Beauty Seen and Michael at Profile for hosting Kelly) and she’d already taken herself the night before to the Benefit store opening in Carnaby Street (thank you Benefit).
She didn’t quite manage to blog everything she had planned (I’ll pick those up later) but she did six posts, an Instagram give-away, Tweeted regularly throughout the day, checked stats and even did some swatching. I took her my post from the previous day so she had a huge choice of products to choose from and it was up to her to decide which were the most relevant.
I feel so proud of Kelly because it was always going to be a mammoth task, given she isn’t a regular blogger. But, she truly rose to the challenge. I’d definitely do this again. It was never a case of ‘see how hard blogging is’ but more a case of until you know how full-on it can be, you can’t possibly understand why those emails don’t get a reply! I feel really happy with the way the experiment went, and also so delighted that many readers pitched in to wish Kelly good luck on the day.
As for me, I discovered I quite like a facial when there’s nothing else to do!
